Abstract

1517290 Counting tablets N KETTLE Ltd 30 Oct 1975 [31 Dec 1974] 56109/74 Heading G4D A hand-operated counting aid device for counting tablets comprises a base 10 having side walls 12, 14 and a rear and front wall 16, 18, a tray 24 which is formed with apertures 32 being pivotally mounted on the base 10 by means of pivot pins 42, 44, and in use of the device tablets are poured onto the tray 24 and the device is shaken so that a tablet becomes located in each aperture 32 and is supported by the base 10, and by pressing downwardly on a lever 50 attached to the tray 24 the latter pivots about the pivot pins 42, 44 so that the tablets, no longer being supported by the tray 24, are then deposited on the base 10. By tilting the device the tablets slide out through a slot 62 formed in the base 10. The device is held in the hand by a handle 22 attached to the base 10. The pivot pins 42, 44 which are attached to the tray 24 are located in respective sockets 46, 48 provided in the side walls of the base 10, and if it is desired to mount the tray 24 in a position in which it is spaced slightly more above the base 10 the pins 42, 44 can be located in sockets 52, 54 which are of shorter depth than the sockets 46, 48, the front of the tray being supported in this position on a step 56 provided at the front of the base 10.
