Abstract
1517207 Vulcanizing rubber YOKOHAMA RUBBER CO Ltd 22 Oct 1975 [25 Oct 1974 30 Oct 1974] 43357/75 Heading C3E A sulphur-vulcanizable rubber composition comprises (1) as an amine source, an amine-isocyanate addition compound and (2) as a carbon disulphide source a compound selected from (A) xanthogenic acid esters of formulµ in which R3 and R4 are the same or different and represent a monovalent organic residue, (B) a cyclic bis-(thiocarbamoyl) monosulphide having the formula in which R5 represents a divalent organic, (C) cyclic bis-(thiocarbamoyl) disulphides having the formula in which R6 represents a divalent organic residue, (D) cyclic bis-(thioxanthogenyl) monosulphide sulphides having the formula in which R5 is as defined in (B), (E) cyclic bis- (thioxanthogenyl) disulphides having the formula in which R, is as defined in (C), (F) cyclic (thiocarbamoyl - thioxanthogenyl) monosulphides having the formula in which R5 is defined as in (B), (G) cyclic (thiocarbonyl - thioxanthogenyl) disulphides having the formula in which R6 is as defined in (C), (H) xanthogenic acid salts containing the group in which M represents a metal atom and m and n are integers from 1 to 3, (I) cyclic bis-(dithiocarbamic acid) metal salts having the general formula in which R7 represents a divalent cycloaliphatic or aromatic radical and Ma represents a divalent metal atom and (J) salts having the formula in which R8, R9 and R10 each represent a divalent aliphatic radical, Mb represents a monovalent metal atom, Mc represents a divalent metal atom and Md represents a tri-valent metal atom. Examples are given in which natural rubber and butadiene-styrene rubber formulations comprising a pyrrolidine/4,4<1>-diphenylmethane diisocyanate addition compound and one of the said compounds as a carbon disulphide source are vulcanized.
