Abstract

1517000 Feedwater and condensate analyzer TSENTRAL NI I PROEKTNO KONSTRUKTOR KOTLOTURBIN INST IM II POLZUNOVA 25 Sept 1975 39276/75 Heading G1B A power-plant feed-water and condensate sample analyzer comprises a constant head device 3 communicating with a sample concentrator made up of a plurality of evaporators 6 connected in series, each evaporator having a throttle 8 at the steam-gaseous mixture outlet end, an electrical conductivity sensor 11 (for measurement of salt concentration) arranged at the outlet of the concentrator, the throttle 8 of the first evaporator 6 having an aperture for the passage of the steamgaseous mixture which is smaller than the apertures of the other throttles 8, the size of this aperture being such that it ensures a level of the liquid phase in the first evaporator so high as to ensure evolution of only carbon dioxide, and between the first and subsequent evaporators 6 an electrical conductivity sensor 10 for producing an output signal proportional to the amount of ammonia in the liquid phase. The sample is finally boiled down in evaporator 13. Samples may be removed for analysis at 17.
