1516383 Pressure-sensitive record materials CHAMPION PAPER CO Ltd 26 Aug 1975 [26 Aug 1974] 35271/75 Heading C4A [Also in Division D2] Pressure -sensitive record material comprises a substrate bearing isolated droplets of an oily solution of a colourless, chromogenic dye-precursor material in an oil, the oil being a halogen-free solvent for the dye-precursor material and consisting essentially of a mixture of (a) 25-40% by weight of a monoalkylnaphthalene having 1 to 3 carbon atoms in the alkyl group, and (b) the remainder of the mixture being one or more dialkylnaphthalenes in which each alkyl group has 2 to 4 carbon atoms, with not more than 10% by weight of trialkylnaphthalenes but excluding a mixture of mono-, di- and tri-isopropyl-naphthalenes in the weight proportions of 35:60:5, the droplets being isolated by solid resinous capsule walls formed by the reaction between a dispersion in an aqueous solution of a water-soluble, organic, polymeric film-forming emulsifying agent possessing hydroxyl groups and a solution of a crosslinking agent in the oily solution.
