Abstract

1516311 Selective signalling DELPHIC Ltd 1 July 1975 [2 April 1974] 14507/74 Heading G4H A monitoring device comprises a plurality of input circuits for connection to a plurality of sensors to be monitored, scanning means for sequentially scanning the input circuits to detect any activated sensor(s), a plurality of display devices for sequentially displaying information corresponding to any activated sensor(s), and an integrity circuit for inhibiting the actuation of the display devices for a predetermined period following detection of an activated sensor, whereby noise signals from the input circuits are ineffective to activate the display devices. As disclosed, the integrity circuit checks that the sensor remains activated for a period defined by counting clock pulses. The display devices are lamps used in projecting respective messages on to a common screen, for a time which may depend on the importance of the message/sensor, after which scanning resumes. A common lamp (or one of two, in the case of two possible degrees of importance) is also flashed, and a horn/buzzer is sounded. A push-button causes all the messages to be projected in turn, for testing.
