1516274 Earthenware formulations BIS MINERALS Ltd 30 March 1977 [1 April 1976] 13284/76 Heading CIJ An earthenware formulation comprises by dry weight (A) 40-60% of a mixture of ball and china clays, (B) 30-40% of flint and/or a composition B comprising quartz sand and cristobalite, the amount of cristobalite being in the range 10-30% based on the weight of cristobalite and quartz sand in the composition B, and (C) 0-20% of a flux and/or a composition C comprising nepheline syenite and quartz sand, the nepheline syenite being present in an amount in the range of 30-60% based on the weight of nepheline syenite and quartz sand in the composition C, the earthenware formulation containing composition B and/or composition C.
