Abstract

1516167 Blister packs PACKAGING COORDINATORS Inc 11 Aug 1975 [10 Oct 1974] 33395/75 Heading B8C A child-proof package comprises at least one protrusion 19 in a sheet 23 supported on a card, a sheet 25 of rupturable material overlying the opening into the protrusion, an access tab 28 overlying the rupturable sheet, and a peelable non-rupturable backing 29 overlying at least the tab. The card may comprise two layers 21, 27 which sandwich the sheets 23 and 25 and which are coated with polyethylene as a heat-sealable coating. The tab is formed by a slit (24) and perforated lines 26 in the layer 27. The card may be torn along a perforated line (16) underlying the peelable backing to assist the start of the peeling of the packing. The card may have a portion (11) folded over the top(s) of the protrusion(s). The card may have perforated lines and the backing slits to enable the package to be divided into subpackages each containing one protrusion.
