Abstract

1516088 Data display SEISCOM Ltd 14 Aug 1975 [14 Aug 1974] 35745/74 Heading G1G Geophysical survey data comprising moveout corrected traces in seismic sections defined on a rectangular grid are processed to be displayed isometrically on a two-dimensional surface. As described, traces 10, 12 are displayed isometrically from a viewpoint that may be varied. Computerprocessed records are stored and read-out as vertical lines x x such that portions of one trace (e.g. the extension of 100a-100b) overlaid by another trace are not displayed. The processing provides for (a) alteration of the isometric viewpoint by varying the amount of offset in the Y direction between one trace 10 and any neighbouring trace 12 (18) Fig. 2 (not shown) (b) limitation of the data displayed to given depth ranges (48) and (c) provision of reflexion strength indication (54) by using colour, display intensity or density as set out in UK Specifications Ser. Nos. 1417552 and 1417551.
