Abstract

1515557 Floating conveyer belt units E HEISTERHAGEN 20 Aug 1975 [5 Sept 1974] 34662/75 Heading B8A A conveyer belt is supported on a plurality of floating units each of which comprises laterally spaced longitudinally extending floats 1 longitudinal bearers 2 disposed on the floats 1 over their entire length, and transverse bearers 3 and diagonal stiffening members (4) (Fig. 2, not shown) connecting the bearers 2. A walkway 6 may be provided. Each unit may support driving and/or transfer units as shown in Fig. 4. Alternatively the driving unit may be disposed on land. Additional floats (10) (Fig. 3, not shown) may be provided for each unit.
