1514493 Crown reinforcement in radial tyre MICHELIN & CIE 14 May 1975 [3 Oct 1974] 20422/75 Addition to 1406686 Heading B7C A radial pneumatic tyre has a crown reinforcement comprising ply of helically wound metallic (e.g. steel) cords, at least one margin of the ply being folded over radially, inwardly, and the ply being of one type (S or Z) and its cords being of the other type (Z or S). S and Z types of cord and ply are defined in Spec. The reinforcement may comprise a non-folded ply, and there may be a plurality of plies with folded over margins.
