1514024 Magnetic bubble devices PLESSEY CO Ltd 15 April 1975 [17 May 1974] 40101/76 Heading H3B In a magnetic bubble device having a bubblesupporting layer I subject to a bias field produced by magnets 6 and an in-plane rotating field produced by two orthogonal pairs of coils (not shown) of which one pair generates a unipolar field stopping and starting at zero, an additional pair of magnets 8 produces a further bias field in the opposite direction to the unipolar field so as to stabilize domains under a propagating overlay when the rotating field is stopped and started.
