Abstract

1513519 Brake discs BENDIX CORP 21 July 1976 [29 Sept 1975] 30369/76 Addition to 1475237 Heading F2E The sheaths 64 of the parent Specification are protected from abrasion by screens 80. The latter are formed from wire mesh bonded to the sheaths and graphite pins, not shown, extend through corner reinforcing plates 74 as well as the covers, sheaths and disc periphery. The sheath and its cover may be formed unitarily during the process of manufacture of the sheath under substantially the same conditions as described in the parent Specification. If the sheaths and covers are located on the inner disc periphery, plates 74 are omitted and a single centrally placed rivet is employed to secure each sheath to the disc (Figs. 10 and 11 not shown).
