Abstract

1512630 Binocular telescopes ROSS OPTICAL Ltd 30 July 1975 [30 July 1974] 33595/74 Heading G2J A binocular of the fixed focus, prismatic type has a pair of interhinged bodies 1, 2, e.g. of diecast aluminium, each having a tubular objectiveholding portion F and a dished rearward portion R. The rearward portion R houses the prism and eye-piece assemblies 10, 8 and has a mouth M extending over the full width of the rearward portion and large enough for the prism assembly 10 to be inserted therethrough. A dished cover 11 fits over the mouth M and against the arched, rearward end of the portion F. Eccentric spherical bearings 3, 4, may be provided where the lugs H are hinged together. Eyeguards 12 and objective-protecting shrouds 12 may also be provided.
