Abstract

1512167 Cages ALL - TYPE - TOOLS (WOOLWICH) Ltd 22 Feb 1977 [29 March 1976] 12457/76 Heading AIM A cage, particularly for primates, has a wall 8 movable towards a cage door 6 to facilitate capture of an animal in the cage, the wall 8 having means to prevent it twisting due to an animal resisting movement. The wall 8 is carried by rollers 9 running in channels 10 on the side walls and is pulled forwardly by a member 18 extending through the front of the cage beneath the door. The pulling member 18 is attached to the bottom right hand corner of the wall 8. To resist twisting a lazy tongs arrangement 11 is provided at each side of the wall 8, the lazy tongs being interconnected by horizontal struts extending between the pivots 16, 17.
