1511983 Measuring angular velocity electrically SIEMENS A G 20 Jan 1977 [31 March 1976] 02202/77 Heading G1N A pulse generator for measuring angular velocity comprises a soft iron disc T, Fig. 1, having a small portion L at the periphery laterally displaced, whereby a pulse signal is produced in a pick-up F at each revolution of the disc. The portion L preferably includes 30 degrees at the disc centre. The pick-up F may be a differential Hall plate device which also senses the direction of rotation. The disc may have more than one lip portion L arranged asymmetrically about the periphery.
