Abstract

1510473 Conveyer belts H DOBSON 29 April 1975 [25 March 1975] 12348/75 Heading B8A A conveyer belt is formed from a sheet of thermoplastic material by cutting an annulus from the material, and twisting the latter through a right angle. The belt 10a so formed, may then be disposed about wheels 16, 18, and stretched, by increasing the spacing of the wheels, and at the same time applying heat to the belt. This may be by means of a hot-air blower 20, or by heating the wheels. The latter may also be rotated. The belt may be provided with perforations 12 on one side of a median plane 14. The material of the belt may be polythene terephthalate, nylon, or polythene. The annulus may be cut by pressing or by trepanning.
