1507857 Soil working implement ALLOWAY MFG INC 2 June 1975 23783/75 Heading A1B An earthworking implement 28 comprises a transverse beam 29 with a hitch assembly 31 for mounting on a three-point hitch 21 of a draft vehicle 20, parallel linkages 61, 62 between the beam and a transverse tool bar 59, earthworking tools for working the soil between rows of crops mounted on the tool bar, and row guide means mounted on the tool bar comprising a plurality of row guide assemblies 95, each including a resilient rotatable wheel 117 for following furrows in the soil and having a resilient tyre 106 with convex side walls 134, 136. An L-shaped standard 107 and clamp 108 mount the wheel on the tool bar, and a furrowing tool 96 is held by collar 101 on a support attached to the tool bar such that tool 96 is in longitudinal alignment with and behind the wheel. The hitch assembly 31 is adjustable to accommodate variations in three point hitches by movement of upright members in clamps 34, 36, 51 secured to beam 29. The support for each furrowing tool may comprise an L-shaped standard 87 (Fig. 2) or the arrangement of Fig. 16 where an upright standard 239 carrying tool 254 is secured in holder 241 which is pivoted to the rearward end of a bar 231 attached by clamp 232 to transverse tool bar 223, with a spring 248 biasing standard 239 into an upright position but permitting rearward movement of the standard on contact with a stone. An earthworking assembly 139 (Fig. 9) comprises a wheel 166 with three outwardly directed spoke members 173, 174, 176 which dig into the soil and an earthworking tool 163 which makes a series of trenches in the soil as wheel 166 rotates, tool 163 and wheel 166 being mounted on a frame pivotally connected to a standard 140 secured by a clamp 141 to tool bar 59.
