Abstract

1507381 Bed lifts J E OSWELL 16 July 1976 [8 May 1975] 19339/75 Heading A4J A patient support apparatus comprises a frame assembled from longitudinal and transverse members 3, 4 adapted to lie on a bed 2, patient support slings 6 detachably secured to frame members 3, two posts 9 having means for secural to the bed, and a winch 16 supported above the bed by the posts, the winch including four cables 21 with means for secural to the frame. The posts 9 each have a hook 10 for engaging the bed, the hook 10 being bolted through a selected hole 13 along the length of the post. The slings 6 are secured to members 3 by eyelets (7) and hooks (8). The winch 16 includes a handle 17, gears 18, 19, and a winding drum 20, the cables 21 having hooks 22 for secural to members 3.
