Abstract
1506932 Correcting pin cushion distortion WHITEWATER ELECTRONICS Inc 22 Jan 1975 [14 March 1974] 11668/76 Divided out of 1506931 Heading H4T [Also in Division H1] Apparatus for electromagnetically deflecting the electron beam of a CRO includes means for correcting raster distortion which comprises a saturable reactor as shown in Fig. 7 and described and claimed in Division H1. For effecting side pincushion distortion in a television receiver the control coil 6 is connected in a parabolic wave shaping circuit with the vertical sawtooth generator, and load coil 7 is connected in a series circuit with the horizontal sawtooth generator 25 and the horizontal deflection coils 22. The operating principles are as described in parent Specification for the control and first load coils therein.
