1506199 Liquid applicator for electrostatic copier XEROX CORP 23 April 1975 16868/75 Heading B2L [Also in Division B6] Liquid developer on incised applicator roller 1 is doctored by blade 2, which is supported and located by abutment 8 and pin 7 (or by a bracket which both supports and locates) and is biased against the roller by full-width member 8a. The blade may consist of a tip portion supported by a resilient body 9, or the blade may be entirely resilient. Preferably the blade edge is of a resilient material, such as an elastomer, and the roller has a pattern of lands and valleys formed by helical grooves.
