Abstract

1504229 Darts MILLARD BROS Ltd 30 Nov 1976 49769/76 Heading A6S A dart flight is at least partly iridescent, viz. it exhibits changing colours. The iridescence may be provided by reflection diffraction gratings moulded in plastics secured to the flight. In one form, two sheets of translucent plastics material 11, 12 are welded together along their centre lines 13, 14. Two opposite pairs of adjacent faces 15, 16 : 17, 18 have sheets 19 of iridescent material 19 attached by adhesive. The iridescence is visible both directly from the material 19, and also through the translucent material 11. In one modification, the flight material is opaque, instead of translucent. In another embodiment, the flight material is translucent and the iridescent material is applied to the two opposite faces of two diametrically opposite flights only. The iridescent material may be applied to part only of the flight faces, e.g. in bands or strips.
