Abstract

1504044 Mixing gun for plastics foam CIBA-GEIGY AG 18 March 1976 [2 April 1975] 13463/75 Heading B1C A gun for the making and discharge of a curable resin foam comprises a mixing chamber 7, 9 having inlet valves 4, 5, 6 for a curable resin, a curing agent, and compressed air, and an outlet valve 10, all the valves being linked to operate simultaneously so that small quantities can be discharged with immediate cut-off. The valves may be linked and actuated electrically, mechanically or pneumatically. The chamber 7 may have a labyrinth of glass beads 8; either the resin or the curing agent may first be foamed in the labyrinth with the compressed air, and the remaining component added to the foam through the valve 6.
