1503454 Refractory monolith DRESSER INDUSTRIES Inc 12 Nov 1976 [15 Jan 1976] 47318/76 Headings C1H and C1J A method of in situ fabrication of a refractory monolith comprises gunning a mix comprising non-basic refractory aggregate (e.g. containing alumina, silica, or various clays), calcium aluminate cement and 0À45 to 25%, based on the weight of the cement, of calcium chloride hydrate. The use of calcium chloride hydrate has been found to reduce rebound losses as much as 75%.
