1502852 A gelled air reodorant SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ BV 3 March 1975 [4 March 1974 (2)] 8683/75 Heading A5E A gelled slow release air reodorant composition comprises, as gellant, alkyl salicylate or terpene alcohols, aldehydes or ketones together with a polyvinyl acetal resin compatable with the gellant, of molecular weight from 30,000-1,000,000 and containing free hydroxy groups. The reodorant gel may contain additionally organic diluents, perfumes and water, the preferred diluent being menthadiene. The preferred terpene gellants are menthane and carione and the preferred salicylates are methyl, ethyl or aryl salicylates.
