Abstract
1502789 Toy aeroplanes R V DE LA CONCHA 15 May 1975 [22 Nov 1974] 20667/75 Heading A6S A toy aeroplane 1 is powered by an electric motor energised through a cable 10 which also holds the aeroplane captive and is connected to a tube 8 journalled for rotation about a post 5, brush and ring contacts in the tube 8 connecting the cable, &c. to one rheostat 14 and a source of potential for control of the toy aeroplane motor. As shown in Fig. 1, three such aeroplanes 1, 2, 3 are independently controlled by three rheostats 14 to fly about the post 5. An annular landing runway 17, assembled from tongued sections, surrounds the post 5. Each aeroplane may have a hook depending from its tail so that it can pick-up stationary articles as it flies; the hooks may also be engaged with a cord 16 on a small landing table 15 resting on the runway 17. The aeroplanes may release simulated bombs. A simulated part-tunnel (35) Fig. 11 (not shown), open at the inside, may define a path for the aeroplanes to traverse. As a modification, three additional annular runways (29..31), Fig. 12 (not shown) may surround the post 5 one above the other one for each aeroplane. Two posts 5, Fig. 16 (not shown), each having its own toy aeroplanes, may be interconnected by telescopic struts (32, 33) enabling the posts to be moved so close together that the flight paths of the associated aeroplane intersect. Dog fights, &c. may then be simulated.
