Abstract

1502477 Releasable fastenings ACME MARLS Ltd 6 Nov 1975 46018/75 Headings E2A and E2B [Also in Division F4] A kiln car superstructure comprises a plurality of ceramic shelves 10 supported between upright pillars 11, each pillar including end plates 12 having notches 13. Baffle plates 14, generally rectangular in shape with one corner 15 cut away, are slotted into the notches 13. The baffle plates are secured in position by a clip assembly which comprises a ceramic block 18 having a swivel mounting on its under side and a groove 20 on its top surface 19. The groove 20 includes a base 21 parallel to the surface 19, on upright wall 22 and a wall 23, the top portion of which is inclined away from the wall 22 so as to meet the surface 19 at an angle 'x' between 60-70 degrees. The bottom part of the wall 23 may also be upright. The clip assembly also includes a truncated wedge 25. the walls 26 and 27 of which are disposed at an angle corresponding to the angle of the groove 20, namely 20-30 degrees.
