1501118 Radio-active analysis for folate compounds RADIOCHEMICAL CENTRE Ltd 20 Dec 1974 [11 Dec 1973] 55427/74 Heading G1B A method of performing a saturation analysis of a folate compound comprises causing the compound or mixture of compounds which is to be analyzed and a radio-actively labelled version of the said compound(s) to compete for reaction with a binding reagent for the said compound(s) which is present in an amount insufficient to combine with all of said compound(s) and the labelled version thereof, separating the bound compound(s) from the unbound compound(s) and measuring the radio-active concentration of one or both, characterized in that the radio-actively labelled version of the folate compound(s) is labelled with selenium- 75. A kit for the analysis includes an Se(75) version of the compound(s) to be analyzed and a binding reagent for the compounds to be analyzed.
