Abstract

The arrangement for marking an escape route (1) has light sources (2) which are arranged along the escape route and light up with a temporal phase shift in order to generate an escape light which indicates the direction of escape. Some of the light sources (2) are assigned sound sources (3) which are tripped together with the light sources, in order to mark the escape route. The light sources are advantageously held in different colours and shapes. The sound sources radiate in one embodiment in a direction opposite to the direction of escape, and they can likewise operate in a phase-shifted manner. The optical and acoustic device is used, in particular, to mark escape routes in buildings. <IMAGE>
