Abstract

1498173 Trickle filter MASS TRANSFER Ltd 30 Dec 1974 [28 Sept 1973] 45632/73 Heading C1C A method for treating liquid sewage on an aerobic trickling filter in which the lower part only of the filter bed is flooded, at least intermittently, is described. The flooding may be continuous, or preferably intermittent and for this purpose a tank is erected around the base of the filter. Flooding to a depth of less than one quarter of the bed is preferred.
