Abstract

1497026 Watering plant pots R STEVERDING 12 July 1976 28879/76 Heading A1E Plants in pots 2 are watered by drops in a fine trickle of water from distribution tubes 8 attached to the cover 7 of a housing 6 secured in a hole 5 in a water feed pipe 3. Fig. 2 shows tubes 8 secured in bores in a central protrusion of the cover 7 such that their ends are flush with the base of the cover. Fig. 5 shows means for securing the tube in the soil in the pot, comprising a planar holder 15 having a pointed end for insertion in the soil and openings 17 to guide the tube 8, edges of the holder forming a clamp to secure the end of the tube. The cover may be unscrewed from the housing to permit replacement by a spray head (not shown).
