Abstract

1496896 Flexible conduits ROBERTS & ARMSTRONG (ENG) Ltd 5 Dec 1975 [3 Dec 1974] 52290/74 Heading F2P A conduit has a plurality of spaced tubes 4 that are secured together by a flexible sleeve 3. The sleeve has enlarged bores 5 in which liners 6 are positioned. Ring seals 7 are positioned between the overlapping parts of tubes 4 and liners 6. A member 1 has a flange 2 so that the conduit can be screwed or mounted on the wall of an appliance. The conduit is manufactured by assembling member 1, flange 2, the tubes 4, liners 6 and rings 7 on a mandrel and, then moulding sleeve 3 around the assembly. Sleeve 3 may be non-tapering, sleeve 3 may be shrunk on and there may be an outer cover of wire braid around the sleeve.
