Abstract

Optical antipodes of (+/-)-4H-pyrido(1,2a)pyrimidine-3-carboxylic acid of the general formula I, in which R denotes a C1-4-alkyl group, or (+/-)-threo-1-(p-nitrophenyl)-2-aminopropane-1,3-diol, are removed from racemates or enantiomer mixtures. The separation is carried out partly in the aqueous phase and partly in the organic phase by treating the mixtures with an optically active antipode of one or the other compound. <IMAGE>
