1494480 Split ring AEROLEX PRODUCTS Ltd 17 Dec 1974 [17 Dec 1973] 58384/73 Heading A4G A split ring 10 has a gap 11 for the insertion of webbing or the like and a sleeve 12 movable to a position bridging the gap, the ring having a notch 13 having a face 14 at right angles to the length of the ring and into which notch the material of the sleeve can be forced to retain it in said position. As described a stainless steel ring 10 has two notches 13, and a stainless steel sleeve 12 has saw cuts 17 which facilitate deformation of the sleeve material into the notches 13 when the sleeve bridges the gap 11.
