1493789 Tape reels KENNINGTON TOOL & DIE CO Ltd 31 July 1976 32008/76 Heading B8M A winding hub is formed as a split ring 10 in the closed position of which a complementary groove 14 and rib 16 or laterally slidable tongues (not shown) on free ends 13 and 15 interengage and secure the end of a leader tape therebetween. A recess 17 facilitate flexing of ends 13, 15, and a dished recess 11 provides driving cogs 12. The hub may be a unitary moulding of plastics material, e.g. acetal-trioxane copolymer.
