1492946 Personal sanitary devices H Y RONNQUIST 11 Oct 1974 44050/74 Heading A5R A personal sanitary receptacle for collecting faecal discharges by sick humans comprises an open-ended tubular elastomeric member C, for insertion into the human anus, each end of the member terminating in a resilient ring 1, 3 and the central part of the member being waisted where it is intended to pass through the anal sphincter 2, one ring 3 being adapted to receive and retain a removable bag A, for faecal matter, and incorporating an outlet 4 for air or gases from the bag. The bag is of plastics material and its open end is detachably secured to the ring 3 by a band 3a. The forward ring 1 is flattened in section to assume a partconical shape.
