Frames.-In oil-tank steamers constructed with longitudinal frames bracketed at the bulkhead, the connexions at the bulkhead are modified in order to ensure water-tightness. The flange of the angle lug b is placed in the reverse position to the flange of the bulb angle stiffener c on opposite sides of the bulkhead, and the hull of the lug overlaps the heel of the bulb angle by about half an inch, preventing the plate from being shorn or cracked.
