1491308 Phenoxy-alky esters NISSAN CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 29 April 1975 [30 April 1974 15 March 1975] 17709/75 Heading C2C [Also in Division A5] Compounds having the general Formula (I) wherein (i) X and Y are both oxygen and Z is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, acyl, alkyl substituted by R 1 COO-, CH 3 COS-, R 2 O-, R 2 S-, HO-, HOOC-, CH 3 CONH-, acyl or alkoxyacyl (where R 1 is C 1 to C 8 alkyl or alkenyl and R 2 is C 1 to C 8 alkyl or benzyl), a piperidinoalkenyl group or any of the groups and ClCH 2 CONH-; (ii) X is oxygen, Y is sulphur or -NH-, and Z is C 1 to C 8 alkyl; (iii) X is sulphur, Y is oxygen, and Z is C 1 to C 8 alkyl, acetylmethyl, methoxymethyl, 2- methyl-1-propenyl or nitromethyl, or (iv) X is a sulphur atom, Y is an -NH group, and Z is C 1 to C 8 alkyl are prepared by conventional methods.
