Abstract

1490833 Securing flights to a conveyer chain PRATT MFG CORP 24 March 1976 11746/76 Heading B8A A flight 10 is secured to a roller chain 12 by a chain link having extra-long pins 18. The latter engage in correspondingly spaced bores 22 in the flight, and the link is retained in position by a latch member 30. In the locked position (Fig. 5), portions 44 of the latch engage grooves 24 at the ends of the pins 18. By manually pressing down on a portion 42 of the latch 30, the latter is brought into the position of Fig. 6, in which recesses 46 of the latch permit the pins 18 to move freely. The flights can easily be moved to any position along the chain.
