Abstract

The filter contains a vessel (1) in which are arranged at least two filter partitions (2) which subdivide the interior of the vessel (1) into sections lying parallel to each other. The filter further contains apparatuses (7) for backwashing the filter partitions (2), each of these apparatuses (7) having a hollow housing (11). A grind-in plate (16) connects to the open side of the housing (11). In the housing (11) is constructed an annular groove (15), that is on the entire periphery of the side of the housing facing the filter partition (2), the bottom of the annular groove (15) having continuous boreholes (18). The grind-in plate (16) is arranged in this annular groove (15), a chamber (17) being present between its end surface (K) and the bottom of the groove (15), which chamber is connected to the section (3) for contaminated liquid by the boreholes (18). In such a filter, tilting of the grind-in plate is excluded and the grind-in plate lies sealed on the filter partition (2). <IMAGE>
