1490823 Diagnostic testing using photodetectors AKRO-MEDIC ENG Inc 14 Nov 1975 08363/76 Heading G1A The apparatus is basically the same as in the Specification 1445396, but the claims relate to a method of diagnostic analysis, comprising the steps of introducing a diagnostic test material into at least one of a plurality of cuvettes, placing a fluid containing microorganisms symptomatic of a condition to be diagnosed into a chamber which is in fluid communication with the cuvettes, producing an interaction between the microorganisms and the fluid, monitoring the optical characteristics of the fluid in the chamber until the desired optical characteristics have been achieved, causing a finite known quantity of fluid from the chamber to flow into the cuvettes, and evaluating the change in optical properties of the fluid in the cuvettes thereby determining the inhibitory concentration of said diagnostic test material as an indication of the condition to be diagnosed.
