Abstract
1490269 Heterocyclic-fused 1,4-diazepines BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM GmbH 3 March 1975 [2 March 1974] 8756/75 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of Formula I and their acid addition salts, wherein R 1 is Br; R 2 is H, F, Cl or Br; and R 3 is H or C 1-4 alkyl or hydroxyalkyl. In examples, these compounds are prepared by reacting the starting materials (II) where X is SH or NHNH 2 , with R 3 CONHNH 2 or R 3 C(OEt) 3 , respectively. Further starting materials prepared are analogues of (II) where X is HO or EtO, and 2-bromo-4-(o-R 2 -phenyl)-5- Z-thiophenes, where Z is BrCH 2 CONH-, NH 2 CH 2 CONH-, ClCH 2 C(OEt) :N- or ICH 2 C(OEt) :N-. Therapeutic compositions having anxiolytic, tensiolytic, muscle-relaxing and anticonvulsive activity, and which increase the intake of food, comprise compounds of the above Formula (I). They may be administered orally, parenterally or rectally, and may contain other active compounds such as spasmolytics or beta-receptor blockers.
