1489117 Electric motors JAEGER 28 Feb 1975 [28 Feb 1974] 8547/75 Heading H2A A synchronous or stepping electric motor comprises a cylindrical permanent magnet rotor 12 co-operating with stator poles 5, 7, alternate ones of which are formed on respective ones of two, axially spaced apart stator pole elements 1, 2, each stator pole having a main pole portion and an auxiliary pole portion, the rotor being radially magnetized so as to have, on its periphery, pole surfaces, e.g. 24, 25, Fig. 8, skewed relative to the axis 13. This construction ensures positive starting in a desired direction.
