Abstract

1488808 Cable strippers PRESSMASTER Ltd 20 Jan 1975 [25 Jan 1974] 03636/74 Heading B4W [Also in Division H2] The main body of a stripping tool comprises a handle 4 and clamping jaw 2. Pivotally attached to the body at 14 is clamping jaw 3 and at 10 a handle 5. Driving arm 9 pivoted on handle 5 operates on cam surface 15 of jaw 3 to close it and then acts on protruding arm 20 of pulling means 19 to which are attached stripping jaws 6, 7, thus moved relative to the clamping jaws. A cable cutter 32, a movable blade of which is mounted on the pulling means, may be provided and guarded and pivoted bridge 29, adjustable by means 31, may provide a surface along which stripping jaw 6 may slide parallelly to jaw 7. Spring biasing is provided for the pulling means, driving arm and stripping jaws, and the driving ard and protruding arm are provided with rollers. The machine may be hand operated, or by hydraulics, or by compressed air.
