Abstract

1486508 Treatment of ruminants HERSHEY FOODS CORP 8 July 1975 28639/75 Heading A5B Winter dysentery, diarrhea and ringworm in ruminants are prevented by feeding spores of Bacillus uniflagellatus (ATCC No 15, 134), which after germination within the digestive tract of the ruminant release antibiotic to the ruminants. Preferably at least 10,000,000 spores per day are fed to the ruminant. The spores may be contained in a ruminant feed e.g. milk or a solid feed.
