Abstract

1484204 Car trays E J LIVETT 14 Jan 1975 1620/75 Addition to 1451751 Heading A4H [Also in Divisions B7 and E2] A detachable table for the use of motor vehicle occupants comprises a tray carried by a support arm which extends upwardly in use from a socket 16 on a clamp assembly including two telescopically adjustable L-shaped members 10, 10a adapted to be secured to the central tunnel within the vehicle body. The downwardly extending limbs of the members 10, 10a are formed with serrations or teeth 13 to engage the walls of the tunnel while the horizontal limb 10' of member 10 telescopes within the horizontal limb 10a' of member 10a. The width of the clamp assembly is adjusted by rotation of a screw-threaded rod 12 located in the member 10a and engaged in a nut 11 located in the member 10. Limb 10a' is disposed in a tube formed by an inverted U-shaped part 14 secured to a support plate 15, part 14 carrying the socket 16.
