Abstract

1483945 Post pallet AIRFLEX CONTAINERS Ltd and C D D HICKEY 25 Feb 1976 [6 March 1975] 9435/75 Heading B8H A pallet comprises an impermeable base 10 and four posts 21 mounted in guides 20 for movement between a position wherein the lower ends thereof protrude beneath said base to raise the same from the ground and a position Fig. 1 (not shown) wherein the lower ends of the posts are disposed above the base to allow the pallet to be conveyed on a roller or ball surface. When the posts are in the upper position the guides may recieve the upper ends of the post of a lower pallet. The pallet also includes an impermeable cover 14 sealable at its periphery by an inflatable tube 17 locatable within a slot 15 form integral with the base. The envelope created by the base and the cover may be evacuated or inflated through a valve (32). The base may be made of metal and a conductive screen secured under or over the impermeable cover to screen goods on the pallet.
