Abstract

1483284 Pigment preparation CIBAGEIGY AG 9 Dec 1975 [8 Jan 1975 30 May 1975] 729/75 and 23570/75 Headings C3P C3R and C3Q [Also in Division C4] High molecular weight organic material is pigmented by incorporating therein a pigment composition in the form of free-flowing, non- dusting, non-aggregating, non-sticky generally spherical beads which comprises from 40 to 80% by weight of a pigment or water-insoluble dyestuff, from 5 to 40% by weight of a waterinsoluble organic carrier or mixture of carriers melting below 100‹ C., from 2À5 to 25% by weight of an organic acid and from 1À5 to 25% by weight of an organic base, the amount of acid plus base being from 5 to 35% by weight, all percentages being based on the weight of the total composition. In the examples the pigment compositions are incorporated into a toluene/aliphatic hydrocarbon solution of a phenolic modified resin/zinc-calcium resinate publication gravure medium, plasticized polyvinyl chloride and rubber.
