Abstract

1483168 Measuring diameters BOEHRINGER GmbH GEBR 11 Feb 1976 [13 Feb 1975] 05448/76 Heading GIM In an instrument for measuring internal or external diameters a measuring wheel 20 or 28 is held in frictional contact with a surface which is rotated about its axis. Electrical signals corresponding to the rotation of the wheel are transmitted via a cable 22 to a counting and computing means 24 for computing the diameter. The measuring wheels 20, 28 are of different diameters and are connected rigidly together or form an integral twin wheel. The computed diameter may be indicated on a digital indicator 26 or this may show the difference between the measured and a desired diameter.
