Abstract
1482715 Tape cassettes TRIUMPH WERKE NURNBERG AG 16 Aug 1974 [2 Feb 1974] 36172/74 Heading B8M A device permitting ink ribbon spirals to be loaded into a typing machine without handling the ribbon itself comprises a housing having spool locating means, such as lugs 2, guide means as at 18 to locate the housing in the typing machine, the housing having guide surfaces (5, 6, 7, Figs. 1, 3, not shown) which fold the ink ribbon in such a manner that it can be introduced without being touched with the hands into a ribbon fork on the machine. The device shown includes a displaceable spool retaining plunger 11, which holds spools in place until moved out of spool retaining position. It may at the same time co-operate with ribbon feed reversal levers 23. An alternative embodiment for carbon ribbons has spring lugs (38, Fig. 4, not shown) retaining the spools and apertures through which the spools can be pushed with the fingers to release them from the spring lugs.
