Abstract
Novel, optically active bicyclic oxetanes of the following formulae <IMAGE> or a racemic mixture of these compounds and their enantiomers are prepared, in which the substituents are described in Claim 1. These compounds are obtained by introducing the side chain into an appropriate, optically active, bicyclohexene of the formula <IMAGE> or a racemic mixture of this compound and its enantiomers, by reaction with an aldehyde of the formula <IMAGE> The resulting novel compounds can be used for the preparation of prostaglandins.
